The Mihrab is locatedin the central area of ​​the Maqsura of the Mosque of Córdoba, built by Al-Hakam II with artisans sent by Emperor Nicephorus II. The Byzantine Mosaics decorating the Mihrab recreate The Celestial Garden, which has been reflected in this design.
